Reduced fuel consumption

The lower the fuel consumption, the lower the overall costs.

The Atego makes extremely efficient use of fuel. The lower your fuel consumption, the lower your total costs.

The design has been optimised down to the last detail to reduce drag. From the bumper and the corner panelling right up to the roof – everything contributes to a low level of aerodynamic drag and thus to reduced fuel consumption. Optionally available aerodynamic body parts can further reduce fuel consumption.

Advantages at a glance.

  • Complete Euro VI engine range: Two displacement classes, seven output ratings from 115 kW (156 hp) to 220 kW (299 hp)
  • Low fuel consumption thanks to economical, efficient engines and short shift times
  • Application-matched transmissions
  • Fuel-efficient auxiliary consumers
  • Sophisticated aerodynamics

A broad selection of application specific transmissions also contributes to reduced fuel consumption. Short shift times and economical auxiliary consumers such as on-demand compressed air control and the power steering pump additionally help to reduce fuel consumption.

Engine output range. The economical Euro VI engines for the Atego are available in two displacement classes and with seven power output ratings, from 115 kW (156 hp) to 220 kW (299 hp).

All Euro VI engines boast low fuel consumption. On the 4- and 6-cylinder inline engines, high-pressure fuel injection with injection pressures up to 2400 bar and cooled exhaust gas recirculation ensure low fuel consumption and a low-soot combustion process.
